Great place for animal lovers like us to come. You can enter animal pens and stroke them for as long as they want you to. We were there after the goats had given birth a couple weeks ago and the kids were adorable and so soft to touch. The mother was with them and loved having her neck and chin scratched. The cafe wasnt too expensive. A bottled chocolate milkshake and carrot cake was £4.15. We have experienced alot worse prices on out travels. Wasnt well sign posted at one park of the woodland walk to get there and we managed to guess right on the way there but on the way back we got lost and walked alot further and ended up on a housing estate next to the train station. We enjoyed the farm and the walk, was not in a rush to get back to the car as you have to pay to park all day. There is no option for 2 hour parking...
Read moreAbsolutely nightmare getting here. DO NOT FOLLOW SAT NAV! Ended up lost in a private farm!!!! Rang and they told me to park at the train station. Train station had 1 charge of over £6!!! After waiting ages at the train station for info was told there is another car park around the corner!!! Finally got parked. No clear signage of where to go! I have 2 children under 5!!! It’s then a maze of a half-mile walk to the steam train station I’m told. Finally get to the crossing & the farm is in sight but the gate is shut. I wait 5 more mins for it to open!!!! We cross and there is a tiny sign saying no toilets you have to use the station toilets!! Back we go!!!! Then back at the gate for another wait!!! Finally here!!! Never driving again!!!!!!!!!! What a joke!!!!!
My advice - get the train from Buckfastleigh the farm...

The ONLY downside, which I don’t really think is a downside - but can’t do their footfall any favours - is that the farm is linked to the South Devon Railway - you have to pass through the platform, walk right to the end and across a small level crossing in order to access the farm. The signage for pedestrians and cars alike is not ideal either, so the best place to park is by the leisure centre and walk the half a mile to the entrance. Luckily Google Maps exists, so I would suggest having a look at the area before you turn up with a little one in tow, not knowing exactly...
