We came here to do donutting - going down the slope sat in a rubber ring. It was fun, but there were a lot of kids doing it too which meant they wouldn't let us build up enough speed to crash into the bottom properly, so maybe an adult only session would be better? They let groups go down together which adds to the enjoyment, but if everyone had chosen to go down individually, there were too many people and we wouldn't have go many go's, so smaller group size would be better too. The ski slope is part of a larger sports facility. I don't know if this was just winter time shut down, but the whole place looked like it needed some investment - the pond was drained, everything needed a coat of paint, the toilets looked like a prison block and smelled like they'd not been cleaned in years!

Parking is a nightmare, but we held a party there and all ten children who attended had a had a fantastic time donutting. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable and when a couple of them felt a little ill from the motion of sliding all the way down, they suggested shifting to only sliding halfway, so they could still enjoy the slope. Only problem we encountered was the lock on one toilet door jammed and one of the children was trapped for a while till we could find a staff member to unlock it - there's usually at least one or two staff in reception, but the one time we urgently needed them no one was around 😆. As soon as we found a staff member though they quickly found a key and were able to release the child. All in all, a great place.

The female donuting instructor was amazing. I took 3 boys, one for his birthday who got petrified but she spoke straight to him without me asking and settled his anxiety and let him start at the lower slope and eased his way up to the top. The instructor had to keep coming down from top to bottom safely, to let my nephew have his go on the lower slope and she was so calming and friendly which I appreciated so much as it was busy and she could have got easily frustrated but was so professional. Also helped me carry the 3 boys donuts up when they got too exhausted with it. Honestly amazing, welcoming experience from her, fantastic woman. This was over a month ago and still remember how great she was!

Went as part of a kids party. 2 children got injured due to the 2 members of staff not showing a proper duty of care.

Accidents happen, but when one child is hit in the head with a ski lift pole, and is laying on the ground, the emergency stop button should have been pressed.

Also, children not repeatedly told to wait for all children to stay in their donuts until all have stopped moving, resulting in children getting their legs taken out from under them from other children still coming down the hill.

Thirdly, the children were sent from too far over to thier right at the top of the hill, which has a slope toward a tree. This resulted in children nearly touching the tree on a couple of early occasions, having left the actual dry ski slope surface, and actually been travelling on the grass by the tree. This can't be the first time it's ever happened, as the tree is covered in crash mats.

For the price (which we didn't pay) it was great fun, but more emphasis should be made on safety. It also would be a good idea to have sheltered areas like open bus stops at the bottom of the slope for spectators. We got absolutely drenched for one hour, even using umbrellas. Such a simple fix, and it would greatly improve our likelihood of returning, and enhance others viewing pleasure.

As for the cafe, having vending machines that the staff have to operate seems like a total waste of staff time.

Hope this constructive criticism finds it's way to the...

Despicable company. We booked a child's birthday party in March 2019, before the first Coronavirus lockdown. We were charged £120 immediately. When the lockdown was announced the company immediately furloughed all of its employees, without cancelling bookings or refunds, or leaving even a single part time member of staff either at the centre or the wider Active Nation company to reply to emails. I tried emailing, phoning, even Facebook, and was completely ignored. When they reopened they presumably deleted all my emails and ignored them. I was able to speak to someone in October that year who promised me a refund which never arrived. They then furloughed again and disappeared! I have now received a refund from my credit card company some 10 months later. This company have completely abandoned its legal and moral obligations in favour of taking furlough money from the government and holding onto cash illegally. I can only be thankful that I paid by credit card, otherwise I would never have got...

Took our daughter for a ski trial lesson in half term. Easy to book online. Price was reasonable and included hire of skis and boots. Ask for a helmet if you would like one, they aren't given out as standard. One toilet inside the first area but I believe there are more in a porta cabin next to the slopes? *There are steps leading up to the check in centre. I didn't look to see if there was a way round that. The viewing area for spectators is an outdoor uncovered decking area with one bench. Wrap up warm and be prepared to stand whilst you wait. The team in the office seemed polite enough, with not a lot to say. But the instructor my daughter had on the slope was fantastic. Very patient, friendly and knowledgeable. He really made the experience for us. A fun intro to skiing and we will bring her again when the...
