First visit and thought I had walked into the late seventies. Sort of place you would find on a 70's caravan site. Food took an eon to come due to fryers being cleaned out. Staff very apologetic but did spoil the visit as we had to wait nearly 90 minutes for Fish Scampi and chips. When food arrived it looked nice. Fish and Scampi looked liked been cooked too quickly as Scampi had runny liquid inside and the fish looked odd. On another day things may have been different. Sadly I will not return. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a great experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, and as the name suggests, the view is just lovely — a perfect spot to enjoy a Sunday roast with family or friends.
Excellent value for money and a really enjoyable meal from start to finish. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Read moreI think what one needs to remember is that this is a sports bar that serves hot meals. And they cater for the passer by. Dog walkers and animals. Roast only on the Sunday though. The food is very good, tasty. And big portions of meat. The potatoes were delicious and set apart. However, I believe more can be done. All in all the price for the food in the setting is good value.
A simple carvery in a bar. I think this pub restaurant needs an upgrade or a revamp. But I suppose not everyone aspires to have a starred restaurant.
