Harbour Fish & Chips (Handmade Burger & Kebab) — Restaurant in Southampton

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Service and Food! I came to Southampton for one night for work and fancied some fish and chips. The first thing that caught my eye was the sign offering a 15% discount for NHS staff — thank you, guys! I popped in for a quick look around, and the place was spotless. The lovely lady who served me, Najma, apologised for the short wait (only about a minute!) — they were clearly busy, but from the start I felt I was in the right place. The customer service was absolutely top-notch! When my food arrived, it was exceptional. The fish and chips came in separate boxes, the fish was cooked to perfection, and the chips were just excellent. At the end, I thanked them for the great service and food. Najma even gave me another piece of fish (free) because one fish was slightly overcooked in their opinion and would go to waste — that’s what I call commitment to quality! Honestly, this was the best fish and chips experience I’ve ever had. Fantastic food, spotless place, and wonderful staff....

As usual I cant resist trying a new place when they just open in the area so decided to give this place a go.

The old takeaway that was here was terrible. Thankfully the new one is much better.

The portions were decent. The fish batter was crispy in a good way and lots of fish for a large portion.

It is quite pricey is the only negative I can say. With 20% off a large fish, chips and curry sauce came to £10.50 odd. Not bad with the discount but at full price might be a bit expensive for some. (Current opening offer is 20% off the menu not sure how long for).

They also have a selection of home made burgers which looked really good being served up. Might give those a go next time (pricelist shown here in the review for those)

Plus you can ask for a loyalty card that gets you a free burger after 7 visits.

Will definitely visit again and see if they keep it up or just trying to impress on the...

Update June 2025: They've upped their game! Had haddock and chips and it was actually brilliant. Very good.

Very quick and friendly service, good chips, good portions, crispy delicious batter.

Highly recommend.

Tried this place out as it's just opened up down the road.

Chips were nice, good portions. Cod was good, but that batter was soggy.

Battered sausage was poor - lacked in taste, cold before eating (we're 2mins from this chippy) - Also the batter tasted like cardboard?

Also it's pretty pricey for what you're getting.

Staff were really friendly, place was very clean, service was quick, and there's loads of other foods on the menu (it's not just a chippy). Next time I'll try either one of their kebabs, or burgers.

It's already a massive step up from the previous 'Crave' kebab shop that...
