Amazing
First time I've been to an Organ Concert where the organist played three different instruments; an unusual Rutt theatre organ, a Hammond, and everyone's favourite the Mighty Wurlitzer.
Cameras are trained on the consoles and the images are projected onto a central screen which adds to the experience and shows the skill and dexterity needed to command one of these instruments.
The venue is staffed by helpful and friendly volunteers, and interval refreshments are included in the price of admission.
One of the player pianos (a Steinway upright) was demonstrated during the interval.
I will back soon for one of their Sunday afternoon sessions when a range of mechanical instruments are demonstrated.
This place is a gem. It should be treasured...

I attended a Silent Film Concert, showing Messrs Chaplin, Keston, Laurel & Hardy, accompanied on piano by the excellent Keith Nichols. You are surrounded by organ history and memories gone by and there are both rare and familiar pieces. Organ Concerts are monthly, as well as other one-off and seasonal events run to preserve these wonderful pieces....
