We recently visited BattleKart with our kids for a family fun day, and overall, it was a delightful experience.
Firstly, the location is quite appealing, with ample parking space available. There's also a small outdoor area where we enjoyed the lovely weather, which was a definite bonus.
Secondly, the karts themselves are impressive and speedy, making for an exhilarating experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the race, football match, and snake game, although my girls found some of the other activities a bit dull. Of all the games, the race and football match were the clear favourites. The rules were straightforward, and the explanations given beforehand were clear and helpful.
However, I do have a few critiques. The cost of ÂŁ295 for a family of four for 45 minutes of playtime is on the pricier side and not the cheapest option available. Additionally, there was only one toilet, which was in quite poor condition, serving both gendersâa real letdown for such a venue.
On a positive note, the availability of gaming machines to keep the kids entertained between karting sessions was a nice touch and added to the overall experience.
In conclusion, while there are a few areas for improvement, especially regarding facilities, we had a great time at BattleKart and would recommend it for a fun...
Read moreFirst time visiting and we had a scare on the first race. My son hit the wall full speed after using nitro and there was not any anti collision system in place. His glasses went flying off and he was pretty shook up. It took the staff a minute to come over to help us and they didnât seem too concerned. We carried on shortly after that and tbh I was very worried to accelerate too much after that and kept looking out for him. We did have fun, but itâs very concerning that he was able to go full pelt into the wall. Something that definitely needs to be looked into before someone is seriously hurt. My son was in a lot of pain in his abdomen and lower back the next day from the impact.
Only one toilet available and it has one cubicle and a urinal so really just for one person at a time.
Drinks and snacks available while you wait.
However selling & encouraging drinking even when youâre about to participate is highly irresponsible and an accident waiting to happen. We were quite shocked when we were asked if we wanted an alcoholic drink. We were like umm weâre about to drive?
Definitely will not be returning and I do not recommend bringing children under...
Read moreThe BEST activity near London hands down! I didnât know what to expect from this but we had SO much fun.
Itâs an augmented reality race track where you can play different Mario kart game modes. I loved the fact that thereâs anti-crash technology. And that you donât have to wear any special shoes, helmets or outfits. I actually way prefer this to traditional petrol go karting- itâs sooo much funner and safer. I even felt like the Karts were actually faster!
Our favourite game modes were the classic race mode and snake. Itâs really fun getting the power ups and using them to sabotage your team mates.
I would recommend coming in a group (max 12) as it makes it really fun as youâre competing with each other.
They said they will also be starting some halal food options which is great. They also have a photo booth for the podium which was fun, and some arcade games.
Our group could not stop talking about how fun this was! I really want to come again. It would be perfect for birthday parties or special occasions too.
You should do at least 2 games as itâs that fun. It costs roughly ÂŁ45 per person for 2 games depending on the...
