Ever since I moved locally this has been my go-to dining destination. This establishment prides itself for providing authentic Pakistani cuisine which I can 100% confirm it does. So I beg you not to confuse Tavah for your typical anglicised curry house because it is something far better.
Having eaten in mostly, I can safely say the interior is kitted out wonderfully, looks amazing with well spaced seating and some booth style seating. The service is quick and efficient, and just remember that this place does not provide alcohol which in my opinion is great because I can enjoy the food much much more.
Food wise, where do I begin? I almost always tend to order the Tavah platter dishes as they provide the best bang for your buck in terms of value for money vs the variety of food you get. This thing comes loaded with rice, chips, naan, curry and some grilled meats and vegetables all wonderfully presented on a large sizzling tavah dish. It is truly a sight to behold and one which I strongly recommend you bring your friends for because it really is a crowd pleaser.
Everything on it is delicious and nothing ever goes to waste. They are always happy to tweak spice levels depending on your guests tolerances and willing to make minor changes to improve the dining experience. Many of the other side dishes such as the samosa chat and the karela curry I would also highly recommend as they are super tasty and should not be overlooked.
I also recently ordered their whole lamb for a party and my goodness how incredible it was. It arrived all wrapped up in foil and was still steaming hot. The lamb itself was stuffed with rice and had been marinated in a special spice mix for 24 hours providing some of the best lamb meat I've probably had. Not to mention this thing has been roasted with a ton of mixed vegetables. It went down so well that it was practically finished by the end of the evening. So if you're able to get enough people together, the whole lamb is something that I would massively recommend. What was even better is that they provided the plates, utensils and cutlery which shows true professionalism towards catering for the masses and not just for diners in their restaurants. So if you need catering services with a bit of added spice, then Tavah is the one for you.
Anyways, I could write a whole essay about this but I won't. My recommendation is to go visit this place, because if you like something different to the boring bland Indian curries that litter our high streets, then I beg you to try Tavah, you won't be...

We were greeted with a smile and seated immediately. The restaurant was fairly quiet as it was just 5pm. A simple but effective decor and fairly comfortable too.
We ordered a large tavah and it arrived at our table within 15 minutes of order.
The tavah was massive and literally occupied 3/4 of the table. It was presented well and was sizzling on arrival.
The tavah contained:
Channa daal Meat curry Chicken curry Chicken wings Lamb chops Sheesh kebab Chicken tikka Fries Naan Rice
Channa daal was fairly tasty & the spices were on par. The dish not too salty or oily. Perfect with the naan 8.5/10.
Meat curry was pretty decent too. The mutton was chunky and tender. The spices and sauce was tasty 8/10.
Chicken curry was decent & the flavours spices were yummy. Not an awful lot of chicken on there but it was tender n juicy 7/10.
Chicken wings were grilled perfectly & were satisfying 8/10.
The lamb chops were my favourite. Grilled to perfection and had the perfect amount of spice and salt that got the Juices flowing 9/10
Sheesh kebabs were decent but not as juicy & flavoursome as expected 6/10
Chicken tikka was spot on. Juicy and tender chunks of grilled chicken that were so so satisfying. 9/10
The fries were just above average but went well with the whole dish 7/10
The naan, conveniently cut into quarters, was fluffy and tasty and went well will both the grilled and cooked food 8/10
The rice was average but the tasty curries helped it down the pipe 7/10
Staff and service 9.5/10 Value 8/10
The food sheikh definitely recommends this establishment.

Read moreTook me a long time to write this as we are on lockdown so in nov/dec we decided to check this restaurant out and this was when we could eat in the restaurant...Looking at the pictures on social media gave me false hope that it was a very pakistani restaurant etc. The setting was very nice...the day we arrrived they had no heating and it was freezing outside and inside and they had some heater that they kept passing to customers...thats not acceptable even after that we thought oh its fine wer gna taste some tast food...what happened??? We order the big tavah thing with the rice curry n lamb chops etc all there....the worst curry i tasted in my life the best thing i probably liked was the chips lol! We had leftover alot because we thought it would be nice n we would take it home but I knew I jus did not want to look at this food again...we ddnt even bother making a complain I really couldnt be bothered we paid for our food n left...the young guy going around making his customers feel welcome n also going to drop off food too the neighbours you were really nice but you need to find yourself another job for your personality....maybe its perfect for white people as they can’t handle spice or you can mix water with chilli powder n probably call it curry....and all the people commenting are deluded....and they probably family/friends of the owner or white customers please be honest...
