Lovely for a walk around .Go all the way to 19 arches , walk through to Sankey , Feed the ducks .have a picnic . Go to the boat house or the waterside for a cool drink in the summer . Sadly though if you need to go by car to get here you now have to pay in the car park . I.ve been going here for over 60, years yes 60 years I now bring my grandchildren and have never had to pay to park your car . Make sure you have money or card on you . Pubs are now closed due to covid . It would really spoil your day if you got a big fine . Such a beautiful place and I'm so lucky to have grown...

Free parking if you drive just a little bit past The Waterside pub. Wear your wellies between November and March if you plan to walk around the entire Dam! Take some bread for the ducks/swans/Canadian Geese and take some seed/bird nuts for the Black Caps, Nut Hatches and Robins! The three Heron are near the arches and if you're lucky you can catch a glimpse of the Kingfishers! There's also Eurasion Jay and Buzzard if you're lucky to spot them. Loads of Grey Squirrel also. It's a very pleasent...
