Quiet peaceful and has good paths for woodland. Can be muddy in places. No toilets or catering facilities but it's ideal to take children to explore the woodland. You MUST keep an eye on children as some trees, as is natural for a woodland, are fallen due to weather conditions. I believe this wood is managed by Staffordshire wildlife Trust so if you are concerned then please advise the Trust. Whilst there are paths, some but not all may be wheelchair accessible. Easy walking, can be a little boggy when you leave the main track and if you get confused when you do wander off: If the sound of the railway is on your right you are headed towards world of Wedgood, If it is on your left you are headed back towards the car park at the Trentham end of the world. I do recommend it early in the day in Autumn to catch the golden sunlight. Squirrels, Herons, Dormice and if you are a twitcher lots of bird song.
