Not a post by me but this is disgusting and thr fact you keep deleting there post is terrible
On February 8th, my son attended a friends birthday party at Jolly Rogers… as you can see from the first photo, he was very excited.
Unfortunately after only 20 minutes of playing. my 4 year old was left traumatised, After a horrific accident, he tripped on a torn play Mat. He then fell over on the worn out Mat, which was very hard, not soft at all. resulting in him fracturing his elbow & a dislocating his shoulder.
The Fracture was so bad he had to under go an a 3 hour emergency surgery, resulting in 2 - K wires being placed into his elbow, now weeks if not months of recovery.
No first aid knowledge from jolly rogers, no attempts to call an ambulance. Despite my child roaring in pain, thankfully someone I was with had some first aid knowledge, who were able to advise me it was possibly a fracture & it needed to be stabilised.
If jolly rogers staff had been trained properly, my son could have gotten pain relief ALOT SOONER. Instead the first aider , handed it over to a member of the public - who then provided Kylo with a sling. As the first aider said they didn’t have a clue how to put it on.
Online it states capacity of 200 children. I truly believe it was way over capacity. To the point It was hard to keep track of your children. due to it being so overcrowded with children playing on the equipment. Older children playing in the toddler area climbing up the slides, no staff monitoring the play area. it was an absolute shambles.
Whilst being there I overheard staff members complaining about the capacity, staff looked very overwhelmed. And not equipped to deal with an emergency with the capacity being so full.
By far the scariest & worst 20 minutes of my life. I’ll never get the image of my little kylo’s face out of my head. Whilst I scrambled up the play equipment to get to him.
Unfortunately jolly Rogers keep removing my review on google...
i would hate for this to happen to another child. The amount of pain I’ve seen my boy in, is heartbreaking!
no care or consideration given from jolly Rogers. The manger was extremely rude. I was told the company director would be in contact. But no attempts have been made to contact me. They’ve refused to provide me with the accident form which I’ve been told by my solicitor is actually illegal.
My boy is now 10 days post op & he is still in a great deal of pain. facing weeks and weeks of pain and discomfort, with 2 massive rods hanging out of his arm. He is unable to run around, do his normal daily activities, have a bath or even walk without crying in pain.
It’s called “soft play” for a reason, I feel so guilty that he’s done this amount of damage somewhere that should have been safe for him to play.
In kylo’s words “I never want to go soft play again mummy”. I will be taking...
Read moreWe visited today during the half term. As a whole the place is great. Firstly, it is HUGE and perfect for our 8 and 9 year old boys. I think this may be the the biggest soft play we've ever been to and perfect for slightly older children. We did order food which was reasonably priced and decent kids portion sizes (my two had already had a bite!) They arrived hot and my kids said they were really nice and it didn't take too long. We also got a jug of squash for only £2.50. I liked the fact you can turn up at anytime and not restricted to a time slot. It was busy when we arrived at 12 but we got a table straight away. It did get busy soon after, but by 1430 it had thinned put and there was spare tables. The staff were really nice. People constantly clearing plates and when my son was kneed in the cheek and had a huge bump the staff were really helpful checking he was okay and got me an icepack. Toilets were unisex, run down but clean considering it's a massive kids soft play. Negatives: not the places fault but had a child vomiting infront of me on the floor and into a bag and the mum just let him run back into the soft play! If my kids get a sickness bug, I will be upset! I was going to complain but after he was sick again they finally decided to leave. Second negative the carpark is AWFUL and when I mean awful I mean awful. The spaces are so small and the one way system so tight it's really hard to get into the spaces and get around. If I was on my own I would of been stuffed - my mum had to help guide me into a space with small shunting and to get around the corner at the top because someone was I think not in an actual space. There's not many spaces for how big it is, and all double yellows outside. The parking situation may actually put me off going again which is a shame as my...
Read moreCan’t give 0 stars unclean unprofessional and a complete joke lack of management had our families fourth kids birthday party there today this year over £700 spent in total today cost 170 for 14 children for a hour and a half and some realy pathetic food cheap enough I guess and not my point was discussed over the phone as with the other 3 party’s the kids have had there this year and told that we wanted to bring in some extra food for the adults and was told that’s fine roll on to the very end of the day some twelve.
