Why aren't the slides and waves done more often? My son has a day off school next week on weds and the slides and waves aren't open. No point in going if they aren't open. I'll just take him to a closer pool. If the waves and slides were open more we would come here much more often. I used to come here with my family when I was a kid and it hasn't changed in around 15 years. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. But I took my 5 year old son today and it was still awesome. The slide has 1.1 metre height restriction (110 cm). You can't go down with another person so you can't take your child down if they don't meet the height restriction. The waves are fun as is the slide and the white water river. The sprayer is too cold though. I think the sprayers would be better if you could direct them. Like stationary water guns that you can angle at people in the pool. This place could maybe do with an update though.

First visit today and will definitely be back. The cost for 5 of us at the swim, slide and wave session £18! The changing facilities were a little bit like a maze but perfect for the use. The pool itself is fabulous for families, and WARM 30°c..... i think the deepest area was shoulder depth on myself and I'm basically 5ft. - 1 decent sized slide suitable for most children and adults - lazy river was cute - wave pool, Fantastic feature at random intervals during the session. - water jets/ sprinklers again Fantastic feature at random intervals - mini jacuzzi areas were a lovely add! Everything was easily accessible, café, shop area seemed well stocked. And then I was pleasantly surprised to see staff clearing away excess water and 'rubbish' from the floors regularly.

Swimming centre in Hyde. Good place for kids. It has a large pool area, one water slide, water rapids and a wave pool. It can get quite busy but there’s enough space in the pool. Large changing area with lockers, for a pound, returned after use. Small cafe area with a few tables and chairs and a window to watch the pool area. Chips £1.95, latte £2.90 etc.. friendly staff. Large car park outside. Wheel chair accessible. A Good, clean, place, will come again 🙏🏻

Visited Hyde Leisure for the first time in 30 years since I was a child, with my own child (17 months). With the exception of the Wally Walrus slide no longer there everything else was the same, from the waves, to the lazy river. Pool could have been a tad warmer but that’s just my opinion, still comfortable to stay and swim unlike some. Changing facilities could have been a bit cleaner as there is a short gap inbetween swims and you’ll need £1 for the lockers. Each sessions is 1.5 hours. We stayed 45 minutes and that was plenty. As expected the pool starts to get busy and there are a lot of older children (teens) including some adults that have no consideration of space, bumping in to you etc, I’m sure it’s all the excitement, however, if you have a small child it would be best to make sure you have another adult with you.

The only reason I have dropped a star is because the lady at reception was lazy and rude. We were first in as we arrived early and wanted to pay at the desk. She refused to do this and told me I had to go online. After spending 10 minutes inputting details for all 3 of us including names, ages, addresses, emails and t&cs for each swimmer I finally got to the pay tab and it wanted me to enter card details which I did not have. There was no other option for payment such as Apple Pay which seems incredibly archaic. A Second Lady came and sat down, asked my name and took the payment in less the 60 seconds. How I bit my tongue with the other lady I don’t know. But by this point there was a massive queue outside the door as the couple behind with a young child also were trying to do the same and I could hear children waiting complaining they were cold as they were on the outside of the building. I’m an employer and if someone I employed to serve customers refused to literally perform their role they’d be out the door....

I have to edit this review following my recent visit. We go fairly frequently aiming for once a fortnight. We go early on a Thursday when it tends to be a little quieter. Last week it was absolutely freezing if any part of your body was out of the water, but even the water temperature felt colder than usual. My grandson has just started using the slide and i do like to be at the bottom to make sure hes ok. I simply couldnt bare to be out of the water and just had to stay as close as i could so he could see me when he came off the slide. But even having just my shoulders out of the water left me shivering. When I asked a member of staff if there was a problem with the heating, she was dismissive and told me I had a problem with my body temperature!!! A lady overheard the conversation and it was her first visit, she too was commenting on how cold it was. I did assure her that this was not the norm! I did speak to the manager who assured me the heating was on, but due to the automatic doors at the entrance it blowing an icy wind into the venue which was affecting the temperature. We had to cut our swim short because it was so uncomfortable. I'm hoping that this will not be the case when we go again, and I will be able to edit my review back to a more...

We've been taking our children to this pool for about 6 years now. Last time we went it (prob almost a year ago) everything was looking very tired but having just been today they finally seem to have given the place a good spruce up. The shower that's been broken for years was finally working and the whole place felt a little cleaner. We only go on weekends and school holidays and it is always very busy - to the point where you're waiting for changing rooms to become free, the floors are always that wet they become hazardous (always make sure you hold small children's hands saw one poor girl fall flat on her back whilst toddling naked behind her mum - it looked like it hurt that much I wanted to cry for her), there's always tissue all over toilets etc. It was good to see some money has finally been spent on the place and staff seemed much more attentive than when we last went but with such high volume of people using the pool they really could do with an extra staff member to ensure floors are swept/squeegeed and toilets are checked/cleaned a bit more often.

Overall it's ok and we will keep going but only because we know of no close by alternative with a slide and wave machine, which is after all the reason why the kids want...
