Morrisons Cafe — Restaurant in Tameside

Morrisons Cafe staff very rude. swearing & complaining because I ordered something from the board but refused to make it because it was 10:30am. Yet it stated on the Radio station food served all day. So I assume your staff are very lazy and reluctant to work or your company doesn’t highlight the times where certain meals are available very well. I had just finished working from a night shift & the large gentlemen Chef said “Are you serious, are you being serious, who orders steak pie at this time” I was seriously insulted by the way he said it as he has no right to question my choice of meal & the customer is always right which in this instance I was. Also another member of staff Who referred to herself as “Ali P” was swearing and complaining at me as I already paid for my food that the chef now wouldn’t make due to the time. I didn’t get to eat that meal that I really wanted I had to change my choice to suit the needs of the 2 staff members Chef/Ali p , if I really wanted a Karen’s Diner experience I would have gone to the real thing it’s something I didn’t expect to have sat with my partner at Morrisons Cafe. I couldn't help but notice a few things throughout my visit to the Morrisons café at Hyde: The trays and cutlery had not been thoroughly cleaned and were smeared, many of the tables were left with uncleared crockery and associated detritus, and my fizzy drink was rather flat. However, other than that I was able to order my chosen meal (sausage, egg, chips and beans) without being told that it was unavailable, as has often happened in the past with the chunky steak pie. Staff were extremely rude. We just got to the cafe and went to order and then a member of staff came over and said we cant wait at the till which we didnt know coz we hadn't been since covid and there was no signs explaining this only for the member of staff to snap at us saying "I just told you it's a 30 minute wait!" Even though she hadn't spoken to us so when we said she hadn't spoken to us she continued to snap at us saying "Alright!" as if we were being rude by explaining that she hadn't spoken to us.
