There is a saying that “there is light at the end of tunnel” and this place is literally that! Very dark tunnel but quite nice to walk through. Pavement can be slippery (slippy) at times. Would not recommend cycling through this though some. It runs alongside the River Tame. Lovely views from the top of the tunnel and rapids where waters merge is also cool. Okay for kids but perhaps use a touch and don’t let them wander off.

Had a little walk along the canal just to visit the scout tunnel and walk through it. I was like a little kid shouting to hear my echo inside. 😂😂🤣 Excited child. 😄 Worth a visit to see though nice little walk too. 👍

Adventures a hoy! We hiked the Pike and went down the canal from Mossley to Bridge. Lovely discovery this. Long dark wet tunnel... Feels like another land.

Went jogging with dog. Went over the top to Mossley on a path. Avoiding the tunnel. But on the way back went through. Excellent. Very dark in the middle. Got through ok. I'm tall and had no trouble. Will bring torch next time. Would have been spooked without my dog. Ps I...
