Stamford Arms — Restaurant in Tameside

We had our son and daughter in law’s wedding reception in the barn attached to the Stamford Arms a few days ago. The whole event was fantastic. The food was very good (tomato and basil soup, roast chicken dinner and sticky toffee pudding/custard) together with the usual pre meal drinks and Prosecco toasts. It's my local pub but I've never eaten there for a while now I wished I hadn't bothered. We went Thursday dinnertime and 2 people were in but not bothered as we were hungry,ordered cheese n onion pie with chips and mushy peas.peas were great, pie was alright just a bit too thick with pastry,chips well what can I say other than if I was to use them for nails they would have worked a treat must have been yesterdays.sorry...
