Popped in here as I was passing and it was open and Free! Lol. Helpful friendly volunteers. Lovely glimpse into the past of country market town - which looked more bustling and vibrant in Victorian or Edwardian times( various useful like a watch makers, several banks etc) than what's left there today (coffee, charity shops, hairdressers) .... Sadly learnt some visitors/tourists collecting 'momentos" in form of cobbles from stone floor! Shame as takes ages to wear them down rounded ... STOP IT...

Fabulous place, so much history. Didn't expect much, but spent an hour there.

Volunteers were lovely and explained so many things and great stories.

Definitely worth a visit if...
