Sunday 11th September 2016, OMG never have I been to such a place like this before in my life. Never been before so after seeing advert in local paper we booked a table for 1.00pm we walked in the girl behind the bar was serving so I went up to a lady who looked like she was one of the owners and said we had a reservation for dinner at 1.00 well I have never been so rudely spoken to in any restaurant in my life, and told me to talk to the girl behind the bar, not what name is it sir I will get you sorted. Any way spoke to girl behind the bar who served us our drinks which she got wrong giving us sweet wine when we wanted medium. We were also given 4 bits of paper for our carvary. We walked in to what looked like someone's lounge awful, we went to sit at a table which was made up for 4 people and as we started to sit down a chap who I'm guessing was the other owner/chef came over and rudely said we could not sit there and points to a table in the corner which was so dark I need the torch on my phone to see what I was doing the table was so close to the wall I had to sit at an angle as I could not get my legs under. We did not know what to do so my wife went to ask the owner/chef guy what happens next he told her to sit down and we would be called up next to get our dinner, a waitress then came over to us and said we could go up when we liked, so we did my wife and daughter got a plate and the chef started to cut there meat my son was is front of me and the rude owner woman rushed over and snatched the plate out of my sons hands and told him I give you your plate and then gave him the plate back, the advert said 3 meats there was only beef and a small amount of lamb left. The food was awful the roast potatoes were well bloody terrible I nearly needed the dentist after biting the Yorkshire pudding it was rock hard. We could not get out quick enough, the customer services was none existent the atmosphere well what atmosphere, I would not let my dog eat there. And If your reading this as the owners of this pub/restaurant you should be ashamed a total shambles I would rather starve than ever eat in...
Read moreMy company booked us in here to get our heads down for 2 nights. We usually just eat where we stay instead of venturing out to save the hassle. The rooms were nice, newly decorated, clean and comfortable and had everything you need. Pub area seems nice, and staff pleasant but the restaurant....not so good. Dirty old green carpets, very dated decor and the food was poor. Sausage and mash with onion gravy, should be a safe bet? Watery gravy with some sliced onion thrown in, dry lumpy mash with zero flavour, cheap sausages, and bag microwaved veg. Second night was much better, nice lasagne but then let down by an awful baked cheesecake, got them to take that off my bill in the end as I couldn't eat it. Not all doom and gloom mind, Breakfast on a lighter note was much better! Nothing groundbreaking...
Read moreThe food and service was top rating more then 5 stars. My order the 8oz sirloin steak (medium/rare) was to die for. We were 3 families on holiday with a 9 kid haul. What gives why would they let us all sit together and eat? Atmosphere 3 stars. We got lucky getting in here with 9 kids there was zero waste on the floor or table which should tell you the kids menu is top draw, also all had afters. Cruzcampo on tap aswell. You really do have an amazing pub/restaurant in Holsworthy in fact this should be a gold mine. Do yourself a favour good folk of Holsworthy.....
