READ MY REVIEW; Visit 05/12/2019. Really clean and top spec soft play. I came here with 2 friends, we had 3 toddlers and 1 newborn between us and all paid for the meal deal entrance. The kids had a great time.
HOWEVER. In a nutshell, my daughter dropped her drink (plastic cup with no lid) which was included in the meal deal (cordial and tap water). My daughter was distraught that she did this, so I quickly cleaned up the spillage and went back to the café and kindly asked the girl behind the til for a top up (out of courtesy), she gave me the drink top up and asked for 50p, I looked at her shocked, as she could see the situation I found myself in whilst holding my crying newborn baby - she repeated firmly (boardering aggressive), "I HAVE to charge you 50p for the top up", I challenged it and said "are you actually going to charge me for that small amount of juice?!" - when my 2 year old is stood there crying, along side my newborn crying in my arms. I eventually reached for my purse, I had 45p in change, which wasn't enough, so I offered to pay the 50p by card, but she said we don't take card payments under £5. So she eventually took the 45p from me. This woman (didn't catch her name but had bright blonde hair), in my opinion, is not fit to work around or with children, she had ZERO empathy for me or my 2 year old, she clearly doesn't understand how to settle a 2 year old who is upset and distraught, and also had zero consideration towards the other parents who were stood in the queue with their own children witnessing her unkind behaviour. On the other hand, the other ladies who worked there were very kind and apologised profusely for what I had to endure.
I will be returning as the play area was fantastic.
Something for the owner to consider on reflection of this scenario - I would be happy to pay £1 for bottomless juice, instead of 50p a cup or £2 a jug. Accidents happen amongst toddlers, and dropping their drink is always going to happen. (This is the case in other soft play areas I've been too and works nicely).
Side note - the same woman was the host for the sing along with Bruno the Bear, she was not enthusiastic about her job in...
Read moreWe have been coming to Adventure Forest Play Centre quite regularly for the passed 18 months and even recommended it to our family and friends. However after having lunch there today my Grandchild was playing with an other child nicely and after a while this other child was going home and the other child started to cry as she didn't want to put her shoes on to go home. I was then approached my a member of staff saying that the Mother of that child was trying to get their shoes on and my Grandchild was watching them. I couldn't understand what this had to do with us or why the member of staff approched me over this. Anyway l took my Grandchild away from the area where this other child was getting her shoes on to go home. I then purchased a coffee and before l had time to finish it the same member of staff approached me again and said " have you finished drinking this" to which l replied nearly and finished the rest of the coffee quickly and she took immediate the cup away. I then started to call my Grandchild because we were planning to leave within the next 15 mins and again the same member of staff called my Grandchild name saying "if you get your shoes on l will give you a sticker". I felt my Grandchild was being bribed to get her shoes on because this member of staff wanted us to leave. It's was disgusting behaviour from this member of staff. We are paying customers and today the centre doesn't close until 6pm. On top of that the centre was very quiet and only 2 other children and their adults were in the centre at the time of us leaving. Sadly you have now lost our custom and we don't appreciate you making a bribe to our 4 year old Grandchild and making us feel we have got to leave. Maybe the owners should give this member of staff some more training on...
Read moreI would not recommend this place at all I had my son’s 6th birthday party there and was the worse thing I done, staff are very rude and when we got there they put us in the party room and there was still some guests hasn’t arrived yet very quickly a lady came told me I have to do the happy birthday ceremony now as I paid for Bruno as well to only come then for the ceremony then go I told her I’m still waiting for the guests as still early but she kept coming back saying these are the policies and we have to do it so ended up doing the the ceremony without many of my child’s friends, also I paid extra for pizza and chips for the kids and the kids didn’t eat much so I asked to get something to collect the food for the kids to take home they refused and said it’s against there policies and apparently it’s against their policies as well to eat the birthday cake in the premises so I had to cut in rush so everyone can take a piece home, What made it worse was at the end as the time of the party was from 4pm-6pm and the same lady who only was there and kept coming in and out the room to rush me said Everyone has to leave by 6pm bang on and if we were 10 minutes later we will get over charged, I was in shock I had to rush all people out with their kids one of my kids ran out bare feet as didn’t have time to put his shoes back on as they rushed in and started cleaning while we trying to grab everything and leave, It was a very stressful experience for all of us I really don’t recommend this place with the bad service and none of their policies been explained before we booked and even after booking it turned out if we wanted to cancel we won’t get full refund and they will keep £75 fees Bad company bad...
