Our family meal here was awful. Firstly, the starters took 50+ minutes to arrive, and the mains 40 more minutes after those, which is already a suspicious amount of time to wait, and clearly shows they had problems in the kitchen.
When the food arrived, we noticed nothing out of the ordinary at first, except a general lack in quality but that’s to be expected at a pub restaurant. With my fish and chips, the mushy peas were rock hard and cold, and the sausage was completely inedible.
When we got home later that night, my boyfriend (who ordered hunters chicken) started to complain that he felt quite sick (at about 11pm now). After that, he vomited once before bed and multiple times through the night.
The next morning, I woke up feeling not the best, but decided to try and go to work anyway. About 5 minutes after leaving the house that morning, I had to run home to vomit. I then spent all of Tuesday and Wednesday with extreme food poisoning, constantly vomiting and unable to eat/drink anything.
Today (Thursday, when the meal was on Monday) is the first day we have not vomited, however we are both still recovering and are not at 100%.
We contacted the restaurant with this and was told they would “investigate” and have heard nothing back since. How long does it take to investigate? There was clearly cross contamination between foods due to (probably) rookie chefs and bad kitchen staff. Either that or the kitchen was just as unsanitary as the rest of the filthy restaurant which was not being cleaned the whole time we were there.
I’d highly recommend staying away from this restaurant. The food is mediocre at best and leaves to 3 days of food poisoning, nausea and vomiting.
Also, the attitude from the staff is disgusting. They replied to another review from a family member trying to call him a liar, and berating him for leaving a review while they’re “investigating”. Your “investigation” is not going to solve 3 full days of food poisoning, is it? No, so our reviews will be the same before and after your investigation.

We were greeted with a welcome and it makes a big difference when the staff are smiling and extremely friendly, polite and helpful. The disappointment (if you can call it that) is that it was pretty quiet and it deserved to be more busy! We were shown to a table that was already made up and again I must emphasise how clean it was and fresh smelling. The waitress was a young girl, smartly dressed and very humble and only too willing to help. I’m mentioning the waitress (and other staff) as I observed that, even though there was not many customers to serve, she going the extra mile to make sure every table was spotless clean and the furniture was positioned correctly.
I ordered one of the special burgers and to be honest you’re not going to get a Michelin star meal and I was expecting a ‘Wetherspoon’ type of meal, which is kind of true except it was definitely better, far more tasty with noticeably better quality meat. The chips were served, freshly cooked and crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. In fairness it was a damn good burger and excellent value for money!
Overall, a great restaurant with exceptional customer service with staff who are hard working, passionate and take pride in their job and this dedication creates a great happy friendly atmosphere with good fresh food.
I had the pleasure of enjoying a buffet breakfast at Coppice Wood Farm, and once again, it didn’t disappoint! The food tasted amazing — you can really tell they use quality ingredients. Every bite was so satisfying, it was hard to stop eating! Even though the buffet is self-serve, everything was neatly presented and easy to navigate, which made choosing what I wanted a breeze. 🍳☕🥐😋
The atmosphere is just right for a relaxing meal. Soft, chilled music plays in the background at just the right volume — loud enough to enjoy, but quiet enough to have a proper conversation if you’re dining with someone. It’s a great place whether you’re meeting friends or just want a peaceful solo breakfast. 🎶🪑🙂
Staff here are always friendly and helpful, with fast and efficient service. I’ve been several times before, especially for the carvery, and the team consistently delivers a pleasant experience. You can tell they take pride in what they do. 🙌😊💬
Prices are very reasonable — you get great value for money here! Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this place offers hearty meals at a fair price, which is rare to find nowadays, especially so close to Trafford Centre. 💷🍽️👍
I absolutely recommend visiting Coppice Wood Farm. Their carvery is fantastic, the buffet breakfast is top-notch, and the overall vibe makes it one of my favourite go-to spots when I’m in the area. ✔️🍖🍳🥗
Bonus tip: there’s plenty of free parking, but don’t forget to register your vehicle at the screen near the entrance inside. The place is always clean, well maintained, and clearly looked...
