08.2024- I tried this Chinese while visiting Manchester for the weekend in August. My train didn’t get in until late so I was worried I wouldn’t arrive in Manchester on time but they were extremely helpful on the phone. I haven’t had Gluten Free Chinese noodles in a long time as it isn’t something that is usually on a menu. I ordered several items to try as I couldn’t believe the variety us Gluten Free have. I’ll be back!

I visited Hou Wei on some positive suggestions however I never let that cloud my judgement and always like to make my own mind up. I have to say this place is absolutely amazing, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I went with the Singapore chow mein and the portion was a generous size, filled with hot fresh noodles, great amounts of meat and bursting with lots of flavour. We visited here for the first time yesterday. I haven't eaten food from a Chinese for years!! I try to make my own but it doesn't come close.
We had: coeliac spring rolls, egg fried rice, salt and pepper chips, seaweed and vermicelli with soy sauce. I didn't like the spring rolls unfortunately, but everything else was absolutely divine!!! The portions are huge. Yum yum!
The service was incredible, they gave us a free bottle of red wine!! How nice.
Definitely returning. Amazed and happy that, as a coeliac, I've had some Chinese food...
