Good park lots of space to play football or another sport, has tennis and basketball courts, a frisbee golf course and 2 big play areas, 1 for older kids, 1 for younger. There is a "pets corner" and cafe in the centre. Pets corner have goats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens. The cafe does most hot drinks and cakes and there is a toilet inside but it isn't very big. You can drive into the park two different ways and there are two car parks, one of which is right next to a running track and "stadium" (for athletics), the other next to a scout hut and a few houses. The gardens in the park are very pretty and are full of flowers in the summer. The park is right next to Stretford Grammar School which is also near Stretford mall, which is very convenient. I really love and appreciate the park as I have made many memories there and it is overall a very enjoyable place, however some of the facilities...

Lovely park with a great disc golf course, it’s free to play if you bring a frisbee. You can also rent them from the fab little café. There are two playgrounds too and a pet’s corner too. Tennis courts are near the main car park. Saturday mornings can get busy with the very popular park run. The athletics track hosts several meets but they also run all ability cycling sessions there with a selection of specialty bikes. There are some volunteer gardening groups behind the pet’s corner on the way down to the active Scouts group near the old stables. Did I mention how fun the disc golf is?

It would be great to see the more of the old buildings put to community use and maybe to even have a park keeper on site. Also the north end of the park holds a lot of water after heavy rains, opening up the old brook might help move that while supporting the...

I like this park, it has plenty of space for the kids to run around and the additional advantage of a play area. Serve hot and cold food with lots of variety for all dietary requirements. Lots of dog walkers use this park and I have to say the ones I have seen always ensure they keep their pooches under control 🐕🐩. There is only one thing that I could mention that isn't as complementary, they have an ice cream van on site, this isn't the issue, it's where it parks. I have only been here a few times and each time I walk past the van I trip over the tree roots right in front of the van. Now I know that we can't or want to do anything to the tree roots but maybe the van could find a more even position. All in all the park is lovely, lots for the kids to do and nice atmosphere, food good, staff in the cafe warm, polite...

An oasis of fun and peace within the hustle and bustle of Manchester City centre. Situated reasonably close to both old Trafford football and cricket grounds, this park can provide some nice respite from the heaving crowds on match day and associated hooliganism. The park is huge, and is equipped with a lovely cafe (see my previous review), children’s play areas, large fields appropriate for games and ball sports, tennis courts and a disc golf course (reviewed separately). The park is far quieter than nearby equivalents such as Platt Fields park, Manchester and Alexandra Park, Manchester. This makes is a great target for an afternoon of peace and quiet immersed in nature. The park has lots of little hidden gems, nice flower patches and architectural relics.

A lovely green space but in absolutely desperate need of significant investment and improvement, especially better drainage. Highlights include Pet's Corner (goats, roosters, rabbits, etc), gardens (currently flooded in places - see photos), two children's play areas, cafe, a couple of football pitches, some very shabby tennis courts and a dilapidated basketball court, disc golf and a running track (includes a private gym) ideal for the popular Park Run on a Saturday morning. There's also a memorial tree carving for the victims of the Manchester Arena bomb in May 2017.

Beautiful little park also home to Longford Park Stadium, with track and field. Membership access is very reasonably priced. There are also a few tennis courts and some really cute areas to sit and eat and a child's play area. Beautifully matured park with a decent amount of parking next to the Longford Suite though it fills up quickly at weekends so I do advise you not to drive where possible or, use the very cheap pay and display at Chorlton Precinct on Nicolas Road and walk over as parking on nearby streets causes issues for residents with cars that live nearby.
