👍🏻👩🦼👩🦽👍🏻DISABLED FRIENDLY This is a beautiful place just back from the road there is a field for pick nick's with tables, then a little further up the road in towards the windmill on the left is a FREE car park with disabled parking spaces once parked you have a choice if you walk back down to the right side of the pick nick field there is a sit on train for kids and adults alike or go through the only open gate way and there are a few units as shops the first unit is a lovely bricked brack shop and the lady in the shop Dawn I've never met a nice more considerate person in my life if she is absolutely amazing and full of so much knowledge thank you❤, then if you keep walking also a sweet shop then you see this magnificent structure of a impeccably kept windmill black in colour with white sails absolutely beautiful, and next is an RAF Museum you can touch pieces they even have a newspaper from the day Churchill passed away lots of Singer sewing machines all over the place but as a disabled person getting in and out is my most prominent problem usually at Waltham Windmill there is is a ramp into every part if necessary it is wonderfully disabled accessible, there is an ice cream van with to wonderful young ladies serving with more ice cream choice than an ice cream shop also they were fully equipped for food and hot drinks only £1.50 for a large latte very impressive ice cream was absolutely lovely and also written on the side of the van is homemade ice cream it's a seed perfect definitely right that 11 out of 10, this place is suitable for all ages my friend brought her 14 month old daughter and we my husband and I are in our 40s my mother-in-law was there as well well we all had a fantastic time I'm it was wonderful and the weather stayed good as well would recommend to any disabled party tny body of any age the people were so friendly a massive thank you for me and my family visited Sunday the 12th of June 20-22 we hope you enjoy your visit as much fun with had by all...
Read moreWhat a brilliant day out ,only open at weekends at the moment. The windmill is a rare one with 6 sails. You can go in and listen to a guide telling you of the history of the mill .it is a working one that does grind grain to make flour, you can climb all the way up to the top if you wish. There is a old fashioned sweet shop ,remember aniseed balls, cola cubs ,kop Kops and many more . There is a fantastic laser writing shop what can make you signs for all sorts of things ,Xmas is coming up ?. The museum is a must ,all sorts of war memrabelia to look at you may of even used some of the things yourself.!! The restaurant is brilliant pizza and all lovely kind of meals . There is A very good iron monger who can make all sorts of iron work . There is a fantastic light way railway .there are at least three different trains running at one time pulling carriages which you sit straddled across, and it's only a pound to go on and the ride you get is great ,a long ride There is also an area for the little ones to climb about up rope walls and a swing it's not very big but it's big enough. All ,apart from the train ride is by donation ,and they really do need them donations to keep this wonderful wind mill going .it's well worth any amount of donation . They will look forward to...
