Charming church in a peaceful rural setting, with a history dating back to the 13th century. A larger church once stood on the site, but was replaced by the current building after being destroyed by fire. This tiny church is one of the smallest in England, and the smallest in Sussex. The churchyard enjoys lovely views of the surrounding countryside, and the church is open daily. There's no on-site parking but the walk from Alfriston takes about 15-20 minutes.

It is a small chapel (probably part of a larger one in the past) Xth or XIth century, at the end of a beautiful country walk in beautiful surroundings too. 10 or 15 minutes walk from The Rectory in Alfriston, across the river and straight. It was a lovely discovery.

Wow small but perfectly formed ..set in an amazing landscape...But wouldn't have know it was there if we hadn't been told about it ..No where to park and up a very wooded path way...but definitely worth a visit

I would often go there... To the tiny church there... The smallest church in Sussex... Though it once was larger... How the rill may rest there... Down through the mist there... Toward the seven sisters... Toward those white cliffs there... I would often stay there... In the tiny yard there... I have been so glad here... Looking forward to the past here... But now... You are all alone... None of this...
