Speaking of tea, the quality and variety at Badgers Tea House were outstanding. They offered an extensive selection of loose-leaf teas, ranging from classic black teas to herbal infusions and everything in between. Each cup was expertly brewed, resulting in a rich and flavorful experience. The teas were served in beautiful teapots and accompanied by delicate tea cups, adding to the overall elegance of the presentation.

Read moreAs soon as I walked in I was made to feel very uncomfortable due to having muddy wellies on and ushered through to the garden to meet the rest of my party, we had had a lovely dog walk in February and naturally we were a bit muddy! I hadn’t even sat down when someone came out to take our order and instantly moved the cushion my 3 year old daughter was sitting because she had got a little bit of mud on from the bottom of her coat stating we needed to “respect our property” naturally my little girl thought she was being told off by a stranger and took her coat off in cold weather to eat outside!!!! My scones were doughy and under cooked, the hot chocolate was ok, not that you could taste the chocolate just the hot! My mum and godmothers food was ok. Which was a shame as being 5 months pregnant and having been on a nice long walk I was really looking forward to sitting down and enjoying the food, instead I felt very on edge the whole time. We not be revisiting, would prefer to go somewhere child and...
Read moreThis is a review about a visit to the Badgers Teahouse on 3rd May 2024. Life got in the way of me leaving a review earlier, but I just had to add my gratitude to the long list of happy customers here! The visit was with my husband and our friends, after a lovely afternoon walking near the Long Man of Wilmington and exploring the delightful village of Alfriston.
The staff at Badgers could not have been more friendly and helpful. My husband is visually impaired and a very considerate gentleman kindly described the cakes and pastries on display, making it much easier for my husband to select.
Tea, cakes and scones were all beautifully presented to our table with expertly chosen china, teapots and tablewear. It was a visual delight as well as a wonder for the tastebuds!
The most important point I would personally like to make, is that without a shadow of a doubt, I had the BEST scone I have ever tasted :) Thank you so much to the...
