This teahouse is a gem! And so are the employees. We've stumbled upon it a few years back and had loved the atmosphere and quality of the products offered. We were very happy to see that time has not changed that! As we live abroad, we are unable to come often but managed to do so again yesterday before going home. We came wanting to try their afternoon tea again, had a scare when we came in as we were apparently 10 minutes after cut off but the staff still accommodated us, which we are so grateful for. Thanks again ! The sandwiches, and other sugary delights were of the best quality we've ever been fortunate to try. Made fresh to order on top of it. Their tea is also of great quality. And the added possibility of buying their teas, jams and other goodies from them is just lovely. We will definitely be back at some point and won't hesitate to recommend this teahouse to anyone who's looking for an amazing experience. Thank you !

What a little gem! I went with my friends and we had an amazing experience. We were looking for a place to have traditional cream tea, as it is quite rare to find a good place that serves it these days and we passed by and noticed Badgers. From the welcoming people who invited us to sit down I knew Badgers was the place we were looking for. It is a lovely, cosy, detailed tea room where they serve amazing afternoon tea, cakes, fresh pastries and fresh loose leaf tea. I had an afternoon tea and it was amazing! Their scones were moreish, the sandwiches were fresh and tasty and they also offered vegetarian options on request. All served in a cosy atmosphere by friendly and attentive staff who made the experience even more enjoyable. It is a place that cannot be recommended enough, you just have to try it! Can’t wait to come back! Thank you Badgers!

Me and my husband went to Badgers Teahouse on a Friday afternoon. The service was fantastic and we were promptly seated in the quaint little garden area. Perfect seating area for a sunny day! We ordered the afternoon tea for 2 and it did disappoint! The sandwiches were very fresh, full of flavour and on lovely soft sourdough bread. My husband particularly enjoyed the ham and mango chutney sandwich, a lovely twist from the norm! The cakes and scones were outstanding, they were moist and full of flavour. We would happily say this was one of the best afternoon teas we have ever had. We also loved the homemade candles they had lit throughout the tearoom, the lavender one smelt amazing! Thanks for having us and we certainly will be returning.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Badgers Tea House in Alfriston, and I must say, it was a delightful experience that exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that instantly made me feel at ease.

The interior of the tea house was beautifully decorated. The cozy seating both indoor and outdoor and soft lighting created a serene atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a peaceful cup of tea. The attention to detail in the decor truly added to the overall charm of the place.

The service at Badgers Tea House was exceptional. The staff members were friendly and attentive.

Speaking of tea, the quality and variety at Badgers Tea House were outstanding. They offered an extensive selection of loose-leaf teas, ranging from classic black teas to herbal infusions and everything in between. Each cup was expertly brewed, resulting in a rich and flavorful experience. The teas were served in beautiful teapots and accompanied by delicate tea cups, adding to the overall elegance of the presentation.

The food offerings at Badgers Tea House were equally impressive. The menu featured a delightful array of sandwiches, scones, and cakes, all made with fresh and high-quality ingredients. The flavors were well-balanced, and the portions were generous. The attention to detail in the presentation of the food was evident, making each bite a true pleasure.

In terms of pricing, Badgers Tea House offered good value for the quality of the experience. While it may be slightly higher than your average tea house, the exceptional service, ambiance, and tea selection made it well worth the price.

Overall, my visit to Badgers Tea House in Alfriston was a truly enjoyable experience. The charming ambiance, exceptional service, high-quality teas, and delicious food made it a memorable outing. I highly recommend this tea house to anyone looking for a delightful and relaxing...

As soon as I walked in I was made to feel very uncomfortable due to having muddy wellies on and ushered through to the garden to meet the rest of my party, we had had a lovely dog walk in February and naturally we were a bit muddy! I hadn’t even sat down when someone came out to take our order and instantly moved the cushion my 3 year old daughter was sitting because she had got a little bit of mud on from the bottom of her coat stating we needed to “respect our property” naturally my little girl thought she was being told off by a stranger and took her coat off in cold weather to eat outside!!!! My scones were doughy and under cooked, the hot chocolate was ok, not that you could taste the chocolate just the hot! My mum and godmothers food was ok. Which was a shame as being 5 months pregnant and having been on a nice long walk I was really looking forward to sitting down and enjoying the food, instead I felt very on edge the whole time. We not be revisiting, would prefer to go somewhere child and...

This is a review about a visit to the Badgers Teahouse on 3rd May 2024. Life got in the way of me leaving a review earlier, but I just had to add my gratitude to the long list of happy customers here! The visit was with my husband and our friends, after a lovely afternoon walking near the Long Man of Wilmington and exploring the delightful village of Alfriston.

The staff at Badgers could not have been more friendly and helpful. My husband is visually impaired and a very considerate gentleman kindly described the cakes and pastries on display, making it much easier for my husband to select.

Tea, cakes and scones were all beautifully presented to our table with expertly chosen china, teapots and tablewear. It was a visual delight as well as a wonder for the tastebuds!

The most important point I would personally like to make, is that without a shadow of a doubt, I had the BEST scone I have ever tasted :) Thank you so much to the...
