Absolutely gorgeous little beach. We were staying up the road in chesil beach holiday park and my daughter and I would walk down here every night. It's so peaceful and quiet on an evening. While we were there it was not at all busy in the day either - even while the sun was out. My daughter is 4ft 11 and she could walk out a fair way before the water was even at her thighs. I will say when the tide is going in or out, be vigilant because it can get very strong but in that little area it's slightly more protected.
Just off from this beach leads onto the cycle track which takes you right into Weymouth. It's a beautiful walk, my daughter and I strolled SLOWLY into Weymouth this way one day and it only took us 40 minutes, there is little signs along the way telling you how far you have left to get to places such as the lifeboat.
