Pier Towers, Withernsea — Attraction in Withernsea

Withernsea Pier Withernsea Pier tower’s was open to the public in 2020 after being closed for many years two the public and now it’s open with a museum and gift shop in one tower and arts and crafts stores in the second tower and all designed and mid by local artists from in and around the Withernsea area Withernsea Pier and Promenade Association have plans to rebuild the pier and It will be constructed in stages with Stage one starting in 2021 to be cancelled and postponed to 2022 by East Yorkshire council due to the virus outbreak of 2020 and restrictions during the lockdown and slowly roe opening up in and off into 2021 weather writing this the towers are now back open for trading and the museum is open to the public again with the arts and crafts stores ready again for this year’s artists and traders to start to...

We travelled 80+ miles to be here today to relieve the lockdown boredom, get some sea air and have lunch before driving home. The beach was fairly deserted so we didn't have to worry about social distancing. Parking on the road was easy with the surprise added bonus of an open public loo (immaculate) and a seafront cafe. I am not really sure what I am rating here as the pier towers are the original entrance to the withernsea pier which has long been lost to the sea. They now form an excellent grand entrance to the beach. The beach itself is excellent and well worth visiting on a sunny day.
