Byfleet Recreation Ground — Attraction in Woking

As the tennis court has seen better days and appears to have fallen into disrepair....the gate bolt rusted open I have been in contact with Woking council and there are no plans to refurbish it. This can only be good news for owners of nervous or reactive dogs .....I adopted Harry from on lead committed rescue and use this space for off lead ball play. The only thing is anyone using this space as I do is check for smashed bottles and check your pooch for possible cuts and grazes from the crumbling tarmac. Vast open space with lots of walking/cycling opportunities. There are two well equipped play areas for kids as well as skatepark for the bigger ones. My little boy really enjoys spending time in REC. The grounds are lovely and plenty of attractions for kids. There's one but, some people smoke at children's playgrounds and put their cigarettes down on the grass which is disgusting! Also, quite a lot of rubbish in surrounding hedge. Overall great place just needs somewhere...
