Surrey Capital Cafe — Restaurant in Woking

I stopped here for a sandwich and coffee a few weeks ago. The food has improved from the last time I visited a few years ago. It can get packed around breakfast and lunch time but it was off peak time when I went there. If you're driving you'll be lucky to find a parking space immediately outside the the cafe on the main road but there are a few side roads that seem to always have parking spaces and the 20 minute Hays outside the retirement home.

I asked to change my order a couple of times while browsing the menu, & one of the shop assistants raised his voice & said "you don't know what you want, you order this then order that" etc. They are definitely not used to that situation in whatever customer service training they took part in. The hash browns were good, but who knows how the might react if another situation which is different than just ordering a preset...

We ended up waiting nearly 1.5 hrs for our breakfast. They had so many Deliveroo orders which was apparently a priority over the customers in the cafe. That frustrates me so much. If you’re in a hurry then give this a miss. My beans were stone cold and my friends had eaten their breakfast before I’d even got mine. Nothing wrong with the lady taking the orders tho....
