China Chef — Restaurant in Woking

I've updated the review and lowered the star rating. I no longer use this takeaway having been slightly dissatisfied with the last 3 or 4 meals I had. The special fried rice is broken rice and the meat quality in the special fried rice is not great with very little of it. The chips can sometimes be poor. Food is not cooked by Chinese people!

I started going to a takeaway restaurant in West Byfleet (Royal Chef) and the difference is night and day, it's SO much better. I will not be using the China Chef again.

The European people behind the counter seem more interested in their smart phones than working. I have had errors on my order on two occasions. A little thing like repeating the order back to the customer when taking it might help.

The Young Chinese lady managing the place is very pleasant and works very hard. She should get rid of some of the staff if they keep using those smart phones, they are not helping your business. I have heard you tell them multiple times to put the phone away...start...

HORRIBLE !!!! Food is good but Customer Service is beyond belief bad !!! Have used them for many years but the girl on the he phone is rude and lies!!! Have been told many times that it is a 45 mins wait to actually arrive 2hrs later ! Called to enquire to be told I am a liar - beyond belief !!! Poor delivery driver !!! Will never use again after many years of loyal use- the last 6 months - 1 year we have had this rude person on the phone. Have been told I am lying when. Wrong food delivered to tonight being told she never said 45 mins but 1 hr 45 mins - catagoracally not true - have now had phone slammed down on us x 3 times - do not use if you wish to have a nice delievered service - completely puts you off the lovely food - foul service and now am taking further - fed up with rudeness and phone slammed...

Its my own fault that i gave them another chance as was too hungry and the other local Chinese Restaurants were not answering there phone. The half crispy duck i ordered was over cooked and had very little meat on it for £21 i think it was a Mallard from the local canal,the seaweed had been cooked in old oil and the container seemed to have shrunk by a third since i last ordered. The spring rolls contained some some sort of vegetable mush and were in the bin after first bite. Ive told my family to stop me phoning them even as a last resort and to tell me to eat one of my slippers ,as this would be tastier. The free Crackers were amazing...
