A remarkable place and well worth a visit especially if you have youngish children to take along.
It's basically a miniature railway run by hobbyists with a variety of wonderfully maintained steam and diesel engines pulling carriages in an impeccably managed rural setting complete with a picnic area, green fields, woodland track and a large duck pond. There's old railway furniture throughout the site and track course, beehives and novelty ornaments including Snow White, a variety of teddy bears and stuffed chickens.
The site is open from May to September Sundays only 2pm to 5pm with occasional special events during that period and throughout the year including the Christmas "Santa Special".

Also had the bonus of us buying more trips so we had a run on them all 😂 it’s a great filler for Sunday afternoons and will definitely make the trip again. Great little walk under the track around a pond that has a decent bit of wildlife. Would loved to have had a steam train but can’t have it alll! Read moreAbsolutely loved it as did my 2 year old boy. We went round twice on two different trains. Each h journey was about 10 minutes. Lots of little things to look at as you are riding around on the train. Will definitely come here again. Its was on a very sunny day but the queues were not too bad. First time got on almost straight away. Second time had to wait about 15 minutes. It wasn't too boring though as you can watch all the different engines coming in to the platform. Also not expensive at all....
