This is a National Landmark! Perfectly preserved and the caretakers are charming and know all the history. The view from the “Politician’s Porch” is amazing!! I can only imagine the how much better the view would have been in 1850! This is a must see.

I live in Abbeville,SC and it never gets old. So much History here in Abbeville, McCormick, Anderson, Union , cross keys , Clinton, Laurens . Get out and learn for yourself the history of this area especially if you were born and raised here. Although your from here doesn't mean you know how rich the real history is. Not just family tales passed down . It's definitely worth the visit for all the History buffs . Real untouched history ,just as it happened and was recorded for...

Our tour guide was originally from up north but certainly had a deep appreciation for the historic significance of the Burt-Stark Mansion. She was well told us about the contrasting lives of the two sisters who were the last family members to own the Mansion. They both lived Interesting yet ultimately...
