Swenson House — Attraction in Abilene

I have caught a shadowy figure fly across our security camera room door right here in the living room, I was on my bed in my room recording a video on my tablet and I had my door open when I was recording and saw the shadowy-like figure fly across and I wondered, "is my house haunted?" because I keep hearing the security camera room door open but don't see it and I keep hearing weird noises coming from the kitchen, and attic. we did see mouse droppings on the attic ladder but no mouse in the attic. do you know anything about this? if so please tell a expert ghost hunter to come and check my house for ghosts ( paranormal stuff ) and at this moment as I'm writing this, I hear nothing. thank...

We visited Abilene midweek in March looking for the "prettiest town I've ever seen". We found one remaining grand old mansion, the Swenson House, surrounded by a working class neighborhood. We drove by admiring its lovely exterior and noticed a gardener working in the grounds. Turned out the gardener, Martin, was the house's biggest fan and volunteer and he gave us an on-the-spot private tour for a nominal fee. What a house! Original furniture inside and interesting history of the builder, a Renaissance Man of his time. It's a darn shame that most other Abilene mansions were demolished but with the community's support this gem will survive and be a link to Abilene's...

Our docent was amazing and the house is spectacular. I had no idea about the Swenson family history and was blown away with how incredibly talented and active the owner of this home was. Each of the rooms is beautifully laid out to accentuate the families items. Even the outside grounds which, like all of our yards, needs a little bit more attention, was beautiful and excellently laid out.
