I visited Lucky Land 8/11/19. Expected a great experience only to be disappointed. Parking was a pain because the flea market used the entire area. I barely got a spot. Everything was closed, NO restaurant or performances. The exhibits were damged. Many of the statues are broken without heads, cracking, chipping. I was anxious to see the scale replica of chinese terra cotta army. Many of those figures had no heads and were toppled over. Emperor's horse had no legs. The village was cute. But you can see it needs repair as well. The chinese pottery was lovely. They used fake plants throughout the park, not sure why. I felt it made the place look cheap. Real plants would be so much better. Touring the park took under an hour. The employees working there were very nice, but unable to answer questions. I asked when they planned to hold more events. Figured to try a second visit if they're planning new shows. I hoped to see dancing and a martial arts exhibit. Bottom line don't waste time or money on this. I hope they were honest about the park being under construction. Time will tell. I may check back with them in the SPRING 2020 see whee theyre at. This place could be gorgeous if they do the repairs. I would love to have a place nerby to appreciate the...
Read moreThis year we started a new traditions for New years day One of our own that we hope the kids carry on we have been honoring the traditional good luck charms such as black eyed peas and such but we thought it would be neat to have a tradition that we made up and honor each year so we decided to go someplace we have never been each year that is local enough where we can be back home that night. We will be doing this on New years day each year moving forward. This year we decided to visit a place that has an Asian theme that we knew very little about and let me tell you This place was amazing. It's is a really cool place to go for a stroll or take the kids to get.iur of the house for a couple of hours. The service was outstanding. The host was more than helpful. She made us feel like we were at home. She let us feed the fish and the kids love that. There was a really nice stream with a bunch of koi living in it. I will definitely be back during spring when the plants are blooming. Don't be intimidated by the location. Every one was very welcoming...
Read moreMaybe Friday evening was a bad time to come here, but my experience was not like the rest of these reviews.
First, the area this place is located does not seem the safest. At every light, there were numerous people knocking on windows along the street.
Second, the parking lot is just a plot of dirt with numerous signs reminding people they are not liable for any theft or injury on the premises.
Third, we were the only customers there. When we walked up, all the kiosks were closed and we honestly thought it must not be open today. A woman then appeared insisting it is open and it would be $10 each for us to go in. We politely declined and decided to leave.
Again, maybe we chose the wrong day to come, but it did not seem worth the trip to get there or the money.
I gave it two stars because the building itself looked nice and, from photos, the inside looked like it could be nice, but I really wish the location was better...
