A true hidden gem in Alameda! A great way to enjoy good wine made on location here in the Bay while enjoying a phenomenal view of San Francisco and the water. I have visited 4 times now and I'm coming back for more.
Their wine is great! I have done 2 tastings and have bought multiple bottles of reds and whites to take home and have loved each one! My personal surprise favorite this summer was their 2018 Grenache but they have so much good variety.
You can do a tasting for about $25 each person OR for a $10 corkage fee per visit, you can totally have them open up a bottle or more for you on the spot, enjoy them at your leisure and take the rest home.
The staff team is wonderful. I have now spoken with at least 6 staff members in my visits and they have all been kind, knowledgeable and very attentive to their guests. I am not a wine club member and they make me feel like I am.
The location is gorgeous inside and out. Theres no bad seat in the house. Outside is a beautiful patio with shaded tables and plenty of space. Inside is the wine bar with the great open view of all the wine barrels resting while you sip. The outdoor area is a great space if you have kids and it is also pet friendly. We brought our kids and our dog on a Sunday and were able to enjoy without worrying about making arrangements for them. You can bring outside food or you can order from different vendors they have on Saturdays...
Read moreWe visited Dashe Cellars with the whole family and 2 pups and had the most relaxing, enjoyable and delicious time. The Cousins Lobster truck was the food option for the day and it did not disappoint.
The venue is wonderful! The covered seating is perfect for a sunny day; the view of SF was awesome; the tables are set apart enough from one another; and furry family members are welcomed!
The real draw aside from the view, the venue and the barrel room is their wine. We were so pleasantly surprised at how delicious each of the offerings were on the flight and for a warm summer day, we ordered a bottle of rosé which was also so delicious. We're going back again next month so I hope they also have the dry Riesling available then. It was perfection!
Now aside from the view, the other major draw is the friendly, courteous and knowledgable staff...they're a fun group too!
So overall, we loved everything about our visit (as we did from a previous visit) and we'll be returning...
Read morePretty disappointing. We went there on what happened to be mother's day, but it was a cold windy day so it was pretty empty. Asked to do a tasting, they seated us. Asked about tastings, they gave us the menu. On noticing no tastings on the menu asked again, and got told they don't do them on holidays because it gets "too crazy". Note, the entire outside was completely empty, far from crazy.
Annoyingly, since we were seated, it felt awkward to leave. So we order a glass each and then notice all the people around us are actually doing tastings. Possibly members, but honestly, it was so empty, they could have just offered the tasting anyway, or at least, told us upfront they weren't doing tastings so we could make the decision at the door and simply find another place. Like next door... which had a wonderful wine tasting.
Other wineries we went to told us upfront if they weren't doing tastings and even pointed us to other...
