It seems this park is officially called "Seaplane Lagoon Promenade". The waters are quiet so it makes for a very pleasant walk. It was very peaceful this day and there were a few families with their remote controlled planes and some roller skaters/skate boarders.
There are plenty of picnic tables and benches all throughout this area. The Beken sculpture is at the center of the park. There are public restrooms and some parking areas. There appears to be some biking trails on the southeast side.
Within walking distance to the North are Radium Runway and Naval Air Museum. A little longer walk and you can get to the Seaplane Lagoon Ferry Terminal and the USS Hornet. You can see great views (South) of the ferries sailing out with the Hornet right behind it. Towards the West, you see the San Francisco skyline on a clear day.
