Aurora Lodge — Attraction in Alaska

As far as the actual Lodge is cincerned, it is a very clean building. Clean give you peace of mind and that's what I felt when I was there only one night. I paid my deposit and my stay for a week. I checled in at 7pm but Mr. Chris did not have any contracts for me to sign or go over concerning the rules. However, Mr. Chris took my $375 cash and gave me the keys. The next day when I was suppose to sign my contract I missed my appointment and I forgot to call Mr. Chris and tell him I was gonna miss my appointment. I'll own up to that part. I am a super busy contractor . The next day when Mr. Chris was visibly present and on premise I attempted to allow my female cousin to use the restroom. As she walked past Mr. Chris he suddenly started yelling "no visitors!!!". I did not know that rule. I was not told about that. Later in that day Mr. Chris told that I have been inconsiderate by missing my appointment and I broke a big rule so he told me if I clean my room and give him the keys back and promptly move out he would give me a full refund. I cleaned the room enough to have it immediately rented out again. I moved out. After several attempts to retrieve my deposit Mr. Chris quit taking my calls and I still have not got my full refund like he promised. $375 is a lot. Sure I broke the rule unknowingly but I did as requested. At least give me my $275 back for the room rental and keep the deposit for breaking the rule. Where is your integrity Mr. Chris. Give me back my money. Please...

Please read the reviews, and spare yourself from being robbed. I neglected to do my due diligence and was robbed. In a two day period three of us were robbed by Chris cox the manager. In two of the cases he would not return your deposit, the other was for a security deposit. The manager is a disreputable and dishonest person. The advertisement looks responsible, but we; myself and another person were told that because of high demand there were no rooms available, but rooms would be available in a day or two. The manager chris cox recommendes that you leave a deposit to hold a room, a normal business practice. The rooms never became available, and he will not return the deposit. Claims he's working to get you your deposit but after a couple of days the transparency of his lies and deceptions are all to evident. In the end he says take me to court, most don't have the time or resources to do that, so he perpetuates his fraud. Again read the reviews beforehand and save yourself from lost time, pain / suffering and...

The place itself is alright it's the manager Chris that is the problem he refuses to give me my deposit back and from what I just read on this site I'm not the only one. He cannot say the room wasn't clean because me and my girlfriend left it cleaner then it was when I got there... How can he get away with keeping all of our deposits??? I'm sure he's got some kind of drag to say about it but he's just a thief that's all there is to it and it has to be stopped so I'm gonna do everything I can...
