Crossroads Lounge — Restaurant in Alaska

I found Crossroads a year ago when I got to Alaska. Definitely my place to go. "Sunday funday" is excellent during NFL season with big screens that go all the way around the bar! Sunday ticket and they play all the games! Sunday breakfast menu with Taylor cooking the best steak and eggs in town. Follow that with a Bloody Mary w/ a beer back, and you forget all about that Saturday night hangover.

If I'm being 100% honest, Crossroads is in a totally sketchy part of town with the Black Angus on one side and Creepy Carr's on the other. However, having said that, the staff does an amazing job at screening clientele. I've been going there regularly for over a year and not once have they let anything get out of hand or uncomfortable. Crossroads definitely has that dive bar feel, but cozy at the same time. For smokers, there is a wonderful area set up for them. Apparently this is where friends meet, not sure whose friends, as over compensating, underhanded male staff member roleplaying Dirty Harry wielded his piece (flashlight) at our group & warned us to leave before our entire group even exited the vehicle. Possibly racial profiling, definitely unwarranted as all group members had just clocked off from work & were sober, no pre-gaming or other poor behavior. Maybe a case of mistaken identity, if the situation is read very generously, but seems we will never find out. Not worth the risk of Russian roulette style service...
