This is one of the cleanest lakes in Anchorage. Parking is easy, free, and plentiful, and there's a nice dock if you're not up for getting in the water.
There are fish in the lake, and all you need is a little kiddie pole and some salad shrimp to catch them.
My favorite thing to do here is go paddle boarding. Most of the lake front is marshy, but there's a nice area with grass for picnicing, a small bench, and a big shade tree.
The lake isn't really set up for swimming, but it's a nice size for paddling around. Getting across the lake at a leisurely pace takes about 20 minutes, and going all the way around at a leisurely pace can be an hour or so.
