Tastee Freez — Restaurant in Alaska

Did you know tastee freeze used to be across the street in a now demolished building. yep they move to this location....i wanna say 90s?

Still Love this place. The owner even took time to tell me they will soon have gluten free buns.

Update 8-2-19: im pretty sure tastee freeze is responsible for this beautiful landscape and American flag. Beautiful.

I would like to extend my gratefulness towards you the owner of Tastee Freez for not only providing excellent food and Community involvement, but for employing such shining stars like Margie ( AKA "squeaker", Xander and Tina.

I pre-ordered for the first time so that my food would be ready when I got there, what a treat that is!! but wait there's more...the really great part was getting the opportunity to speak with a young lady named Margie. She is so friendly, when my order became a little complicated she was so patient and made sure that everything was just like I wanted. Margie even convinced me to try tater tots AND SWET AND SOUR over my usual French fries. Boy am I glad I did !! I will never have french fries again YAY TOTS! Thanks Squeaker, you shall always be in my memory when I think off tots:)

It's refreshing to see a locally owned business that employs such friendly Youth and I look forward to going in every time I because the employees are always so respectful and the place is always so clean and they always get my order right

We placed our order (banana split & a dole whip) and we were the only customers in the lobby. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. 10 minutes goes by and a woman that placed her order after us quickly grabs our banana split from an employee and leaves. She didn't even know if that was hers or not. Pretty sure that was our banana split! The clueless female employee didn't even ask or call out the order number. The lobby was at least 20 people deep by now, everyone either waiting in line to order or waiting for their orders. I finally asked about our order and a female employee had to actually search for it. Didn't say a word to me, just turned around and I guess went to make the banana split. RUDE. A different gal gave me the dole whip and said, "She's making your banana split". This took, I swear, another 5 minutes and it seemed like she took so long on purpose. The banana split was tiny too. My husband, who was waiting at a table was surprised at the size of his $10 dessert. Management may want to tell the majority of the ice cream workers to hustle faster. Unreal how slow and non-caring they seemed to be. One of them was reading her damn phone while crouched down at the ticket counter, thinking noone could see her. Yup. I saw her. I would fire every last one if they didn't want to put in some effort. Lots of employees working there for such slow and rude service. Smile, tell people to have a nice day, act like you like your job, it makes a world...

I create honest reviews for people, just like you, to make better informed plans/shopping decisions before ya go.

I went here on Sunday around 8:15 pm, and I left there about 25 minutes later. They were very busy and happening place. Almost a packed house. Lots of family and couple customers.

I am stuck on the double country burger, regular fries, and a butterfinger freezer.

The service is pretty good and they really have their hands full when so many people are ordering ice cream.

This is located on the airport side of town and is probably the best location for a family dining experience on this side of town.

I actually put my Freezee in the freezer and forgot about it til I went to bed. I was so excited to jump back up and indulge in my Butterfinger ice cream like a bod boy.
