I have been to this location numerous of time, I have always ordered the same thing a mango pineapple smoothie add strawberry fruit, it has never been a problem until today. I go to the location on 52 to grab my large smoothie and then was informed that "they can't do it" & " didn't know why". I was very shocked because it's never been an issue before, even if I've had to pay extra. They did not proceed to tell me until after they handed me my smoothie without my fruit. They also have got into the habit of not telling you your total until you get to the window, I was told I was not charged for the fruit but I was also not giving a receipt. Highly disappointed in what this location has to offer now. Can make any blizzard but now you cannot add fruit to certain smoothies. This was the one place I could go to enjoy my sweet treat and now I am unable to because they can not simply put some strawberries in a smoothie anymore. If you can't do something anymore you need to tell people ahead of time instead of telling them to move forward without giving them a total and not letting them know that you can't do something until after you have already given them the product. Highly highly disappointed in this location. No I don't want feed back saying "Sorry for the inconvenience, try giving our location another visit" Yeah No! Not happening! Read moreI have been going to DQ's for a long time. And I am fairly aware of the policies and procedures.
This afternoon I happened by the Albermarle NC location. I hadn't had a blizzard in quite some time, and being a fairly warm day it seemed appealing. I am aware of the policy of a blizzard being turned upside-down for a moment or two when it is served. The counter was fairly busy so I did not push the issue at that moment. I did however mention it when the counter had cleared. The manager was brought to the counter due to the fact that the 2 crew members at the counter had no clue what I was referring to. I mentioned this to the young lady(the manager). Who I may add was very diligent in making sure the customers were all taken care of. After mentioning it to her she rather abruptly informed me that due to the high number of trainees in the store at that time she would not honor the mentioned policies.
I feel some training, and refreshing some training from the top down may be something to consider at this location.
After 20 plus years in retail I understand that the customer may not always be right. But being abrupt and curt with them wins no brownie points
Edit: It seems the owner has only one reply for everything. He cares about keeping his customers as much as his crew cares about...
Read moreWent on July 4th with my grandson as a treat. We arrived around 6 and 1 person was in line ahead of us. They ordered a blizzard and a cone From what I saw. The cone was already melted by the time it was handed to the kid. I told my grandson to order something in a cup. He orders a hot fudge Sunday and I ordered a pineapple Sunday from the 2 for 5.00 menu. Glad I did. From the time we received our order to the 6 steps to the table his ice cream was chocolate milk. Literally. Totally melted. My pineapple Sunday was no better. Big chunks of pineapple not like the Sunday topping they used to have. Milk and pineapple. We didn’t even eat 5 bites or slurps was more like it. NOT AT All Dairy Queen quality ice cream. And my grandson loves ice cream so for him not to eat it after choosing the place says something.
