Typically this is a good car wash when the employees leave the customer's alone. I drove in for a wash recently with my credit card in hand all set to pay at the self serve payment kiosk. There was a line with 4 cars in it which is unusual for this place, typically we pay and go right in. Looking around, the prewash attendants and the attendant at the wash entrance are just standing there, no vehicles entering the wash, 4 cars sitting there waiting to pay. It turns out another member of the staff is insisting every one not going through the prepay line wait as he attempted to sell monthly subscriptions to each customer. This is before they were permitted to pay because this individual rudely blocks the customers ability to use the kiosk. As I finally drove up after waiting what seemed like 5 min I said to this person "Look, I'm not interested in the monthly plan, I just want to pay for a wash. I was shocked when I was told that isn't permitted and I must listen to the spiel.
There's way too much competition in the drive through carwash sector to have a place of business demand their paying customer's listen to an upsell and I will not return. Incidentally I've been to this carwash more than a few times and I've never been forced to listen to the spiel, as soon as I explained I wasn't interested the transaction was completed and I enter the wash. This was the poorest customer service I've received at one of these carwashes, I have to wonder is this company so desperate to upsell that they force customers listen to an upsell regardless of their wishes or is the attendant (older gentleman) on a power trip. Probably some of both. Apparently it's an issue with the other employees because it holds up the line and the other attendants are just standing there doing nothing as the line crawls along as everyone is forced to listen to their attempt to lock customers into a monthly...
Read moreI thought I’d give the place a go but my truck still had dirt on it after having two workers prescrub it, going through the wash, and having paid $22. When I pulled back around to have them fix it, they had shut down the wash because they “lost water” and didn’t know when it would be back up. I understand that stuff happens, but (as it goes these days) there was not an apology or offer of a refund or discount on my next visit. An “I’m really sorry” would have gone so far to build some good will and make me come back.
EDIT: My complaint sounds so stupid now, but as someone old enough to remember when people seemed to care about customer satisfaction, this was just one more disappointment. I work directly with the public in my job and the FIRST thing out of my mouth when someone has a problem is, "I am so sorry. That's sounds really frustrating. Let's see what we can do to fix it." Sparkle words cost nothing.
As the owner noted, yes, I got a rewash. I wouldn't call it an "offer" per se. I had tried to pull around with the full expectation of a rewash. The only reason they were able to do that — and to apologize after a bit of a prompt from me — was because I stopped just off the property to write this review and the young lady who does the check in saw me and told me they were back up. Otherwise I would have been on my way and had been left with a bad taste for this car wash location. But, because they did eventually make it right, I'll likely give them another shot.
NOTE: for transparency's sake, I have never cared for any of these automatic car washes. I never feel like I'm getting what I paid for and I feel like I pay for a bunch of chemicals/service I don't really want. I just want to go through with my truck and have the dirt gone...
Read moreA extremely negative experience! No kind words with my atrocious experience. Became a member, and had washed my car multiple times, at this establishment. Would not go back to this place due to the horrible treatment received from their GM. His name is Chris. At least that is what he mentioned to me. Took my car by earlier today to wash my vehicle. The wash did not get my car clean. So, in good faith, I took it back to get my vehicle, re-cleaned. The young lady I first spoke with, who was extremely friendly, indicated she would have to address to a higher up. The lead showed up and was a total jerk. He looked at my car and stated; “why am I coming back 5 hours later” I told him I had an appointment after my car wash, and did not realize it was not clean, until after my appointment was complete. To top it off, the so called lead, called me a prick, turbo, and some other unpleasantries. As a 100 percent disabled veteran, and retired Army veteran. I will cancel my membership immediately. I would not recommend this car wash to any veterans or anyone, looking for a car wash. The customer service from their lead, was pathetic. And my car was not cleaned properly, the first time. For the record, I completed a Google search, from the corporate website, and or information provided to consumers and customers, it says you can wash car as many times as you want in a day, as per customer service representative, you can come back to have car washed again, if not happy with car wash at Tidalwave Car Washes. Obviously, the lead Chris, could have handled this much more professional. With decorum and tact. Instead, the lead, resorted to bush...
