I was so very excited when this place opened up. Finally, a Mexican restaurant on the westside. Well..not so fast.
Pros:
Service was excellent. Our waitress answered all our questions and was very friendly. Street tacos were on point. Absolutely delicious.
Cons:
It's a small place. I can see it getting extremely crowded very quickly. For being a Mexican restaurant in New Mexico, they don't use real green chile. They use a "salsa verde" which is a tomatillo based sauce. Ummmmm, we live in New Mexico, there is only one kind of Chile Verde. The "red chile" on the enchiladas IS NOT red chile. It's an enchilada sauce. Again, we are in New Mexico, there is absolutely no excuse for not using real red and green chile. You can literally find it anywhere.
Overall, I gave this place 3 stars, as it does have potential. The Mexican rice is delicious. If they could adjust the menu to use real red and green chile, I think this restaurant...

We also shared the Steak Rancheros plate, which came with a perfectly thin, warm tortilla. The horchata was also excellent. The staff were kind and attentive, and the interior was charming. Looking forward to eating here often...

Walked in to get the order. It was placed online. The atmosphere was nice. The person at the front greeted us and the food was already done (earlier than quoted).
If the flautas hadn’t been so bad, it would have been a 5...
