We walked the trail beginning at National Harbor, skirted the little bay and up the circular path to the pedestrian/bike bridge going over I-495 beltway. What a beautifully maintained trail. Walking along the water is so soothing. The landscaping is so well done. All kinds of trees and shrubs. Annuals and perennials. Lots of plant info and historical info on plaques along the way. The views are spectacular of National Harbor, Alexandria and Washington DC. (The traffic noise is not too bad on the Maryland side. ) Highly recommend this trail. Easy going. Great views. And explore National Harbor while you’re there. Lots of paid parking, restaurants and shops. Don’t forget to walk thru the Gaylord Hotel and...

If you have never been to the Potomac river waterfront it is a must see. The trail walk is calming and peaceful. If you are feeling more adventurous the Wilson bridge can provide a thrill to any thrill seekers. Give it a try.

Never fails, I go there after being told I have to stop because of Heath reasons, didn't even make it to the bridge physically, but the never failing scenery... But the the scenery, made the physical unnecessary
