Woodrow Wilson Memorial Bridge — Attraction in Maryland

The Woodrow Wilson Bridge... What to say? It is better than what it replaced. That bridge was a shadow of this one in size and capacity. I find the separated center lanes for out of state travelers annoying as those lanes could be used for local traffic. Most local commuters use them anyways as they are travelling to points along I-95 further south. The key here to this bridge is to stay with the stream of traffic and not the speed limit. Don't worry about cops here, they're only concerned with keeping the traffic moving. The other major improvement with this bridge is that you can walk across on the northern side to or from Alexandria to National Harbor. The sidewalk is quite protected and you'll find a steady stream of joggers and bicyclists coming and going from both sides of the river. The MD side has several at grade pedestrian crossings but the traffic is pretty infrequent that a walker can get across without too...

What a beautiful scenic ride driving over the Woodrow Wilson Memorial bridge. The bridge seems to be newly renovated no dangerous, cracks or chipped paint. Just a really clean sturdy bridge with a beautiful scenic background to landscape your drive from Virginia to Maryland. Not to mention the traffic flows seamlessly from state to state with five open lanes in each direction.
