Allen Contemporary Theatre — Attraction in Allen

As we were purchasing tickets to weekend productions, all of the weekend shows sold out. We decided to go to a Thursday show. After facing every single obstacle we could have, we arrived 5 minutes late to the show. Disappointed (mainly in ourselves), we were not allowed to enter the show once it had started. In addition, our seats were sold to others waiting. I thought surely a community theater would have a grace period for entry, mainly because I quickly glazed over the email clearly stating the opposite. Against their policy, they made an exception and refunded our tickets. Although this was a better outcome than expected, the remaining shows were already sold out so we will not be able to attend the show. I just wanted to share a moment of appreciation to the staff. My mother did get there in time and said the show was extremely enjoyable. As a long time arts performer and patron, I'm looking forward to the next show that...

Amazing venue run by amazing people that bring in amazing talent! Could not have asked for a better group of people to get to know when trying to find a community theatre. Despite being new in town, I was welcomed in with open arms and brought into the family. The people at ACT represent why many of us love and find ourselves back in the theatre all of the time! "Light Up The Sky" was an hilarious show; great cast; most entertaining. The theater had stadium seating so their was no ducking and bobbing to see. The temperature in the theater was comfortable on a hot, hot day.
