It commemorates the monumental efforts of the New Jersey Federation of Women's Clubs, who, in the early 20th century, saved the Palisades from destruction by quarrying operations. The Rock Scrambles: Just when the forest path might become monotonous, the trail presents exciting rock scrambles that inject a dose of adventure. These sections are a highlight, sometimes requiring all fours and providing a thrilling, near-climbing experience that adds a fantastic challenge.
A Trail for All Seasons:
This is my go-to trail, one I walk multiple times a month with my dog, which has allowed me to experience its unique character throughout the year. During the recent drought, the dirt paths have been dry and the streams nearly gone. However, I've also hiked it after heavy rains, and the atmosphere is magical—the air is rich with the smell of damp earth, and the sound of the revived streams adds a wonderful, atmospheric charm.

Essentials: Standard hiking preparedness applies—pack a wind/waterproof layer depending on the forecast, along with sunscreen and a hat.
