Catherine Pass Trailhead — Attraction in Alta

Parking fee for the lot is $12. If it’s busy it can get crowded and you may need to wait or wait at the pay structure if it’s full. Two bathrooms in the parking lot area and were clean. The hike to Lake Catherine is 1.5 miles from the parking lot and fairly moderate. My daughter and niece did it at age 11 and no issues. I saw smaller kids on the trail. It's a great hike they'll take you from Alta into Brighton. I love to do it for a full moon to get to the top of the pig and see the sunset and the moon rise at the same time quite an experience. Please keep in mind that Alta introduced a paid parking lot system unfortunately for altar. And you will not be able to park for free. Beautiful flower filled valley. Several trails begin in this general area. It is worth visiting even if you have no plans to hike.
