I love going to brookside Park in town. Lots of trees and open grass to do many things. I like the fact that they have a multi use path going through it from South 4th Street all the way to 13th Street (which goes through the park. There is all so plenty of wildlife to hear. You can find squirrels, birds, an old fire engine, playground for the kids, and flowers(depending on the season).

Just an overall pleasant place to play Frisbee, ultimate Frisbee, volleyball, kick a soccer ball around, play baseball on one of it's 3 fields that formerly belonged to the high school, or let your kids have fun on the playground or just running around.

There is a river that goes through the...

They really need to keep the place up a little better as far as the amount of walnuts on the tables and on the ground. Stepping on them is unavoidable in certain areas and that makes for a hard time trying to do any activities other than sitting which also is a task to clear all the stuff off the table and benches to put any food down. A better idea with the trash can if they are not going to be emptied on a regular basis is to not have them chained down or in the enclosures so close to the chained downstairs picnic tables. Probably wouldn't have had as many guests stung by wasps and 2 bees. It is a really beautiful park. Just needs...

This park is a gem. Walking trails, bathrooms, two shelters, three playgrounds, sand volleyball, a little library, a splash pad for kids under 6 (only during certain hours, cost $1.) My oldest was frustrated that the playgrounds seemed to be all for kids age 7 and under (no monkey bars or climbers) but she was plenty entertained with the big fire truck. My four year old loved all the playgrounds. I love the wide open spaces, the shade, and the abundance of parent benches and picnic tables. The garden with he inuksuk is also very cool, and my oldest likes to...

Great park to spend your free time, either for recreation or to practice sports. Large gazebos for more people, grills, water and electricity available. A lot of shades to hide from the sun in summer. Skate park and water park nearby. Nice flowers every time.
