Our family drove a couple of hours to get to toboggan run. We got there about 45 mins after they opened. When we entered the park, we were told it would be a 3 to 3 and a 1/2 hour wait before we would have an opportunity to rent a toboggan. We ended up waiting just over 4 and a 1/2 hours. 95 groups were ahead of us when we arrived. We barely rode twice in one hour and then left, as there wasn't even a whole hour left to keep riding before the run closed. We were eventually told that people staying at the hotel on the property add their names on the list 1st and then at 11am the day of it's opened up to people who show up in person. The ride is super fun, but short. I would not do it again during quarantine, for sure, with only 1 side of the run open and only 25 toboggans. Plan to get there and in line at least 30-40 minutes before they open the run if you want a sure shot at riding (eastern time zone). Also note that the toboggan is heavy and you will have to carry it back the length of the run in order to ride again or return it. If you have asthma, please remember to take...
Read moreWhile the ride is extremely fun, the rest of the experience is not so much. We had to get in line just to get in line. When you first get there, you wait a line (30 minutes) to put your name on a wait list. After about an hour, we were called back to pick up the actual toboggan. You hand over your driver's license and they write down the time you checked out your toboggan. Then spend another whole hour standing in line dragging a 35-65lb toboggan the whole way. At one point, someone lost control of their 65-pound toboggan and hit the lady standing behind them in the head. It would be amazing if they just gave you the toboggan at the top of the stairs. After the ride, you drag the toboggan the 1/ 4 mile back to the cabin and retrieve your driver's license. You pay by the hour. So basically, you get maaaybe one ride in per hour. It would be nice if they had punch cards or a way to pay per...
Read moreIf you are thinking about going to the Toboggan Run, I would not recommend it at all. Don't waste your time. We drove an hour and a half there with our family, followed the protocol and checked in, was guaranteed we would be able to enjoy tobogganing b/c it was only 1:00pm, waited over 3 hours for a text message saying we could ride. At 4:15 we double checked with the park and the attendant called for status and they said we probably weren't going to get in, after she told us we would. We would have never waited 3 hours. Customer service is horrible and the communication between the front park attendant and the toboggan run workers is next to the worst ever! Not to mention when I talked to the supervisor and park ranger they were very rude and didn't care we traveled so far! We followed exactly what they say to do on their voicemail message and website! Worst service...very...
