The Blue Nugget — Attraction in Apache Junction

Our family just had THE MOST incredible experience visiting Gold Field Ghost Town. We loved Mammoth Steak House! Sasparilla for the kiddos and Cervezas for the guys, along with amazing burgers! A great place to walk around and take in the views of the Superstition mountains! Our favorite store is The Blue Nugget!!! By far!! The staff and owner are so welcoming!! They have a huge inventory of the most beautiful native jewelry and a wide selection of treasures from Mexico. Our Grandchildren are rock hounds and loved sorting through the rocks and geodes to pick what they would like to purchase, the oldest getting a geode with the most beautiful crystals inside. Our grandson so intrigued by the scorpion paperweight. My husband has specifically been looking for a turquoise cross and the owner has offered to help him search, she will keep an eye out and contact him! There is peridot, jewelry from Peridot, AZ and Amethyst from the Superstition mine!!! Our family has always loved this store and always came through whenever we visited. I had recently seen This store start to post things on Facebook about people stealing and I would feel bad for them. Until she falsely accused my family of stealing. With no proof and in a busy store in with people everywhere she approached and stopped him, accused him and had him empty his pockets. He emptied them pulling even the pocket cloth out, he had nothing because he wasn’t stealing. She got upset when I asked her what her name was and if she was the manager. All she did was give me a card with 3 names. I asked again what her name was and she said Shera. I now wonder who is really is stealing from her store or if she is just bullying people off of assumption and clearly off appearance and posting them. Very sad experience and wish this feeling on...

Lovely ladies with great service. And the most beautiful turquoise jewelry! (All sorts of other cool goodies too!) I had a little mix up over the debit card charge and they were quick to refund and get the correct amount all squared away.
