Miner’s Grill & Ice Cream Parlor — Restaurant in Arizona

I tend to not write bad reviews that often and this one isn't about the food or the atmosphere, but about the humanitarian - human kindness that was simply not there when needed. Today, there was an elderly man who was experiencing a medical crisis and while assisting, I was asked if I could get a cup of ice for him. The nearest place was the Miners' Grill, where I had just had lunch. I ran up, said there was a main throwing up large amounts of blood and needing ice. The person taking the orders response was, " I told them to call 911" and would not give a cup of ice, as they needed to figure it out on their own. The unkindness and lack of human compassion is not acceptable. The family had called 911 and was waiting desperately for the paramedics to arrive. Luckily, ice was obtained from the Mother's Lode Mercantile who was extremely helpful and the family was grateful for their kindness and help. I will never go back to the...

My mother, sister, and I first visited this area today around noon. Our first visit was this establishment for a quick lunch and then a walk around the area. Everything on the patio area was super clean including the tables and seats, the menu was also easy to read but there wasn't too much on it. When we walked up to the counter to have our orders written down, the employee (white male about 5'8 or 5'9 ish) taking it was being very irritable and downright rude to us. Don't know what's wrong in his life or in his day but it certainly should not reflect how he communicates with customers especially if they are being very nice and respectful to him. However, the person at the pickup window was super nice to us as we got our food! Went to get ice cream at 4:55 when they closed at 5. Granted, we didn’t realize they closed at 5. We walked in the ice cream parlor while another family was leaving. My husband overheard the workers say “guess they didn’t see the sign”. I was deciding what ice cream to order because they didn’t have much I typically get other than plain vanilla and I didn’t really want to spend 6 dollars on 1 small scoop of vanilla.
